Passion For Promarkers Challenge - #287 - For A Special Lady

Hi Crafters,
With Mother's Day only a few days away our theme this week at Passion For Promarkers is 'For A Special Lady', so you can make a card for your mother, aunt, grandmother, sister, daughter etc. whoever is that special lady in your life.
I have chosen my youngest daughter, it is her 22nd birthday in a few days and so I have made this card using her favourite colours.

Recipe
Butterflies of Hope image by Hannah Lynn
Pro/flexmarkers
LOTV/ Raspberry Road Papers - Timeless Victorian
Tonic Butterfly Border Punch
Magnolia Frond Die
Joy Butterfly Border Die
Britannia 'Daughter' Die
Wild Orchid Craft Flowers
Gutterman Thread
Hobby House Bling

This is a first for me - distressing the edges of the design papers - I have seen so many lovely cards with this feature that I thought I would give it a try and I quite like the look I have achieved. I also hand stitched around the edge of the background layer - it took forever! this is an 8 x 8 card and seemed never-ending, but again I like the effect it gives.

Challenges I'd like to enter:
I Love Promarkers - #259 Distress Those Edges
Sister Act - #96 ATG
Creative Fingers - #70 ATG

Lorraine, this is very lovely. Her hair color is so pretty. Your daughter is going to love this. A true labor of love hand stitching around the card. I like the distressing. I bought a tool last week and tried it. I think I need some practice. Thank you for joining us at Come And Get It challenge. Bunny DT

Oh my word, this is stunning! The rich colours are perfect for this image and all the details are delightful :-)

I love to stitch my layers of DP so I'm probably a little biased but I love how it looks on your card, especially with the distressing.
